Install TimyNote (Windows & MacOS)

Please download the latest v1.0.3-1 version (or a newer version). And replace all files except the contents folder. In this version, all advanced functions are unlocked, and there is no limit on the number of categories and templates!


You can now just download the package , unzip and click start to run TimyNote. No extra installation and plugins are needed.


How to update?

  1. Download the package of the latest TimyNote on Github according to your PC
  2. Unzip the zipped file
  3. Replace all files excerpt for contents folder.
  4. Note: nodejs-mac or nodejs-windows is optional to replace. If TimyNote doesn't have special changes, you will not need to replace this folder.


Note：

  1. TimyNote-MacOS-intel-x64.tar.gz: For Apple computers with Intel chips.
  2. TimyNote-MacOS-arm64.tar.gz: For Apple computers with M1/M2 and other chips.

1 Prepare

Download and install node.js (choose the Prebuilt Installer)

Make sure the node.js installation directory is added to the environment variables.

2 Install TimyNote

2.1 Install on Windows

  1. Download TimyNote-Windows.zip from https://github.com/word-x/TimyNote/releases, then unzip the zip file to a permanent location;
  2. Double click install-windows.bat (only the first time) to load relative resources; Or install via command line.
  3. Doule click start.exe;
  4. Open http://localhost:3000 and start your writing;

2.2 Install on MAC

  1. Download TimyNote-MacOS.tar.gz from https://github.com/word-x/TimyNote/releases, then unzip the zip file to a permanent location;
  2. Double click install-plugins (only the first time) to load relative resources; Or install via command line.
  3. Doule click start;
  4. Open http://localhost:3000 and start your writing;
